Handle bolt for Simplicity 6000 series uprights, the Symmetry family, sold as part A432-0405B. It carries a 1/4-20 thread and measures 3/4 in., and its job is to pin the handle into the body of the machine.

Handle hardware works loose over years of reclining and locking, and a slack bolt announces itself as a handle that rocks sideways or creaks when the vacuum is pulled back. Swapping in a new bolt takes the play out and stops the load transferring to the plastic around it.
