Upper cord hook assembly, part D431-5400, covering the commercial 7000 range, the Simplicity 8000 series and the Riccar 8900. Named fitment on the Simplicity side runs to the 7400, 7450, 7900 and 7950 uprights.
Commercial machines lose cord hooks faster than household ones for an obvious reason: crews wrap and unwrap a fifty-foot cord several times a shift, and the hook takes a sideways pull every time. Once it snaps, the cord trails behind the operator and ends up under the nozzle.
