Replacement on/off switch assembly for the Simplicity Brio, part C250-0525. This one is specific to the Brio rather than shared across the wider Simplicity range, so ordering by part number is what keeps the right switch in the box. It is sold individually.
A vacuum that cuts out when the cord is nudged, or that needs the button held to keep running, is almost always a worn switch and not a failing motor. The switch is also the cheaper of the two to rule out, and on a machine that is otherwise sound it is a short repair with a screwdriver rather than a reason to replace the vacuum.
