    Replacement on/off switch assembly for the Simplicity Brio, stocked as part C250-0525 and made only for the Brio, not a part that carries over to the wider Simplicity canister range. Ordering it this way is how you end up with the right switch in the box, since switch shapes and mounts vary from one canister design to the next.

    A machine that loses power when its cord gets nudged, or that only keeps running while the button is held down, points to a tired switch far more often than a motor on its way out, and the switch happens to be the cheaper of the two to test. Swapping it is a short job with a screwdriver, not a reason to retire an otherwise good vacuum.
