Product details

Headlight reflector for Simplicity upright vacuums built on the MV platform, stocked as part B470-1200B. Mounted behind the bulb, this shell sends the light out through the lens; once it clouds, cracks, or discolors from heat, the light coming through the lens turns weak and unfocused despite a perfectly good bulb.

Heat cycling inside a small, sealed lamp housing wears this piece out on a routine basis, usually ahead of the bulb it sits behind. Swapping it while you already have the lamp open for a bulb change adds only a few minutes and brings back a beam strong enough to show dirt hiding under furniture and along baseboards.

  • Function: headlight reflector
  • Platform: MV series uprights
  • Fits: Simplicity MV series uprights
  • Sold: each

Look at the lens and bulb at the same time, since a clouded lens or a weak bulb can produce the same dim beam and are worth ruling out together. Replacing all three while the lamp is already open usually beats chasing the cause one part at a time.
