Part B470-0415 is the left-hand nozzle lens, natural finish, for Simplicity MV-series upright cleaning heads. It is the clear window that covers the headlight opening on the left side of the nozzle, directing lamp output onto the floor and keeping grit and dust off the bulb behind it.
Because the lens sits at the very front of the machine, it takes every collision with a chair leg or door casing. Once it clouds over or splits, headlight output drops noticeably even with a good bulb fitted.
