Black nozzle bumper for Simplicity MV-series uprights, sold as part B470-0514. The bumper is the trim strip that wraps the leading edge of the cleaning head and absorbs contact with baseboards, table legs and door frames. It is a wear item by design: it protects both the nozzle housing and the woodwork in your home, and it takes the damage so the molded head does not.
A bumper that has been torn, flattened or pulled loose from its channel stops doing that job and can leave a sharp housing edge exposed. Replacing it restores the protective lip and tidies up the front of the machine.
