Product details

Genuine thermal reset switch rated at 160°F (72°C), the safety cutout that opens the motor circuit when internal temperature climbs past its trip point. Overheating on an upright almost always traces back to restricted airflow: a packed bag, a clogged hose, a loaded filter or a brushroll wrapped in hair. The switch shuts the motor down before that heat cooks the windings, and resets once the machine has cooled.

A switch that trips repeatedly on a clean, unclogged machine has usually lost its calibration and should be replaced rather than repeatedly reset. Order A328-1100B for the correct 160-degree part; thermal cutouts are rated to different temperatures and swapping in the wrong one defeats the protection.
