Right-hand lens in the natural finish for Simplicity PV-chassis uprights, listed as B370-0315. The lens is the clear molded window set into the nozzle housing, protecting the light behind it from dust and impact while letting the beam through onto the floor ahead of the machine.
Lenses crack from knocks against baseboards and furniture legs, and they cloud over time from heat and abrasive dust. A hazed lens dims the light noticeably, which matters most in exactly the low-light spots under beds and along walls where the headlight is doing real work.
