Part B021-0100B is an acrylic felt packing seal for the agitator area of Simplicity Symmetry and 6000 Series uprights. Felt packing closes the gap at the end of the brushroll so air is drawn through the nozzle rather than around it.

Felt mats down and compresses over years of use; once it does, air leaks past the ends of the brushroll and the nozzle loses its grip on carpet. Fitting a new seal while the base plate is already off is straightforward work.
