Replacement furniture guard in charcoal for Simplicity Symmetry uprights of the 6000 series, part B017-0431. It is the bumper strip at the nozzle that absorbs contact with furniture and trim so the housing itself does not.

A guard that has split or come adrift usually gives itself away by sound — a hard knock where there used to be a soft one when the nozzle finds a chair leg. Fitting a new strip is one of the cheapest ways to keep an older Symmetry presentable and to protect the woodwork it passes.
