Black dust cover assembly for the Simplicity Symmetry upright, model code SYMD, supplied under part number D224-0546. The cover is the outer door over the bag compartment, flexed open at every bag change and knocked around plenty in between.
Replace it once the door stops sitting flush, a hinge point has snapped, or a crack has opened across the face. A door that will not close square lets air in ahead of the bag, which drops suction at the floor no matter how new the bag is.
