Replacement nozzle housing in black for Simplicity Symmetry uprights built without a clutch, part number B017-1446N. The housing is the structural shell of the cleaning head: it carries the brushroll bearings, forms the airflow path across the floor, and holds the wheels and baseplate in alignment with each other.
A housing gets replaced after impact damage, a cracked bearing seat, or wear that lets the brushroll sit low enough to scuff. Because everything in the head references off this part, a distorted housing tends to produce complaints that look like separate faults at first, such as belt tracking, uneven brush wear and edge cleaning all falling off at once.
