The special short 90 (SKU 511SN) is a compact 90-degree central vacuum fitting built specifically for 2x3-inch wall installations. In shallow framing there is not enough depth behind the inlet for a standard 90-degree elbow, so this shortened fitting makes the turn within the reduced cavity.
One important note from MD: use this fitting only with the 511MP 3-in-1 mounting bracket for 2x3 walls. The two parts are designed as a set, and SKU 511SN is not intended for use with standard-depth brackets.
