Yellow-bodied AUTOMATIC X4 and X5 machines take switch cap 5160SG. It sits over the power switch and gives the rocker a broad, sealed surface to press against, keeping lint and carpet fibre out of the switch body.
A cap that has cracked at the rim, or gone missing altogether, is worth dealing with straight away. An exposed switch is both less pleasant to operate and far more likely to fail once fine dust reaches the contacts inside, and the switch is a wiring job where the cap is not. The colour is the thing to get right: SEBO builds these two models in several finishes and lists a cap for each, all at the same place on the parts drawing, so ordering by model number alone is how the wrong one arrives.
