Product details

Intermittent starting, a machine that dies mid-pass, a switch that has to be nudged twice — all of it points at the switching unit. Part 50443UL is the assembly SEBO fits to the 300 Mechanical and 350 Mechanical, drawn at position 105 on the sheet that covers both, and it is the component that handles the machine's power switching and the current routed through it.

Electrical parts rarely fail cleanly, and this one is a good example. Contacts pit and burn slowly, a housing works loose on its mounts, and the result is unreliable operation rather than an outright dead machine: it starts on the third try, it cuts out when the body is knocked against a chair leg, it runs fine on the bench and quits on carpet. Chasing individual contacts on a unit in that state is time poorly spent. Replacing the assembly as a whole is the repair that holds.

Before anything is disconnected, unplug the machine and photograph the wiring so every lead goes back to the terminal it came from. If the fault turns out to be mechanical rather than electrical, the switch rod that carries your input to the unit is 50371ER, and it is the simpler thing to eliminate first. Also in this circuit on these machines: switch 05112ER, power switch button 50306OR, power supply cord 501843, suppressor kit 1013ER, sensor 50445ER and filter indicator 50209ER. The motor it feeds is 50465ER.
