SEBO Right-Hand Swivel Neck...

Product details
On the opposite side of that same pivot, part 50440ER carries the right-hand half of the swivel neck joint on a SEBO 300 Mechanical or 350 Mechanical. SEBO lists it at position 140 in the parts drawing for these two machines, one position away from its left-hand twin 50439ER at 142, and the supports are handed rather than interchangeable.
Age and leverage do the damage here. A hairline crack at the pivot boss, or a bore that has worn oval, lets the neck rock under the hand. The handle then feels vague at the turn, sags toward the floor when the machine is parked, and puts a shock through the joint every time direction changes. Owners often chase the symptom at the handle end before realising the movement starts lower down, at a support the size of a matchbox. A sound replacement tightens the pivot and makes the machine track where it is pointed.
Good practice is to renew both supports at once if the neck has been loose for a while, since the second one has been absorbing the same shocks. The swivel neck they carry is 50448HG, and the support lever with spring is 50438HGER. The fasteners around this area on these machines include screw 0197 at position 144 and screw 01010 at 146, each also sold in a 10-pack as 0197ER and 01010ER.
