Titan Grooved Belt - T8000, T9200, T9400, TCS973

This is the grooved drive belt, part 571005111, for Titan T8000, T9200, T9400 and TCS973 power nozzles. The ribs run in matching grooves on the motor shaft and the brush roll pulley, which is what lets a small nozzle motor turn the roller at full speed without slipping.

Belts are the wear item in the drive. As the rubber stretches and glazes it starts to slip under load, so the roller slows on thick carpet, then stops while the motor carries on spinning. The smell of hot rubber, hair left sitting on the pile after a pass, and a roller that spins too freely by hand are the usual signs.

It loops over the motor shaft and roller in a couple of minutes. Fitting a new one every six to twelve months, or sooner if pickup drops off, keeps the nozzle agitating properly.
