Mounting screw for the onboard tool clip on 4000-series Riccar Vibrance uprights. Thread is a No. 6-32 and the shank runs 7/16 in., a short fastener carrying a part that gets handled constantly.
The clip holds the crevice tool or dusting brush against the machine body, so it is pulled and pushed every time an attachment is taken off or put back. That repeated load is what works the screw loose, and a missing one usually means the clip has already started rattling or has fallen away with the tool still in it.
