A 17 in. pad holder for Tornado BD 17 and BD 33 automatic scrubbers, listed as part 48803050. The pad holder, also called a pad driver, mounts in place of the scrub brush and grips a floor pad so the machine can strip, scrub or polish with pad chemistry instead of bristles.

Pads and brushes each have their place. Brushes reach into grout and textured concrete; a pad lays flat, which is what you want on smooth vinyl, sealed concrete and finished floors where the goal is an even cut across the whole surface. Running both gives one machine two jobs. Pad holders take real abuse against baseboards and dock plates, so a spare is worth keeping if the machine runs daily.
