Tornado's 20 inch self-propelled disk scrubber, ordered as TS120-S53-UE, comes with a TPPL battery pack. Thin plate pure lead is a sealed lead chemistry, so there is no watering schedule to keep, and it is generally selected by operations that want to put charge back into a machine quickly between shifts.

A traction drive changes how the machine feels over a shift. The wheels are powered rather than the operator supplying the push, so speed stays even, ramps stop being an obstacle, and the operator's attention goes to edges, obstacles and the squeegee track instead of forward motion.
