The rear blade is the working edge of a scrubber's squeegee: it seals against the floor, the recovery vacuum draws through it, and the floor comes up dry. This one, part 48413040, is the clear oil-resistant polyurethane rear blade for the Tornado BD 17/6 battery-operated compact scrubber.

Because the rear blade carries the vacuum seal, it wears well ahead of the front blade. Rotate it end for end once to use the fresh edge, then swap in a new one.
