This is the matched pair of spiral nylon roller brushes for the Tornado BR 460 ESC escalator cleaner, listed as part 05-4096-0000 and catalogued against the X46. The set contains one left-hand and one right-hand roller, wound in 0.6 nylon filament, because the two sides of the machine turn in mirrored spirals and are not interchangeable.

Roller brushes on escalator equipment wear against steel treads and grooves, so bristles go short and splayed long before they break off. Once the brush stops reaching into the groove it is no longer cleaning, whatever it looks like from above. Replace both sides together so the machine tracks evenly.
