Everything picked up, whether flood water or bulk dry debris, lands in a 55 gallon double reinforced steel drum rather than a compact onboard tank, so one fill covers a job that would mean emptying a portable wet/dry unit several times over. An industrial gate valve drains the drum without tipping a listed 162 pounds of machine.
Putting filtration outside the drum keeps the media clear of the debris pile, which makes it something you check and clear without emptying the barrel first.
