Tornado Marathon 2000 Self-...

Product details
Twenty gallons of solution matched by twenty of recovery, a 22 in. cleaning width and a sealed transaxle drive: the Marathon 2000, part 98190, is built for floor plans where a smaller walk-behind spends more of the shift at a sink than on the carpet.
Self-propulsion is why it works at this size. A full machine weighs 190 lbs, which is not something to push for a shift, and the drive speed is operator controlled rather than fixed, so the pace drops on heavy soil and opens up on a clean run. Tornado rates it at up to 8,500 square feet an hour.
Agitation comes from a 1000 RPM brush fed by a variable solution pump at up to 100 p.s.i., and recovery from a three-stage vacuum motor rated at 136 inches of waterlift and 95 CFM. The body is roto-molded in two pieces and rides on 10 in. rear wheels with two front swivel castors.
A pre-spray hose and wand come as standard for edges, corners and spot work, and it runs on a 75 ft extension rather than the 50 ft cord smaller machines in the range use, which is worth checking against how far apart the outlets are on your sites. Measure doorways, elevators and turns against a 22 in. head before ordering, since on a machine this size length matters as much as width. Tornado covers the roto-molded body for ten years against two on parts and labour.
