Two things separate part 98820 from the rest of the Pro 500 group: no heater, and no tools in the box. That makes it the buy for a crew that already owns a wand and hand tool and does not need warm solution for the work it takes on.
What does not change is the recycling circuit. Recovered water is filtered and sent back to the solution tank instead of to waste, so 13 gallons of solution and 14 of recovery cover more carpet between drain stops than a single-pass upright of the same size manages. The pump runs to 500 p.s.i., and a front-mounted gauge with an adjustment knob keeps that setting visible while the operator works.
Pickup comes from a brushed AC motor rated at 150 inches of waterlift and 101 CFM. The tank hinges open so filters can be reached for cleaning, a front drain hose empties the machine at floor level, and a wheeled handle takes the weight when it goes into a vehicle.
It weighs 124 lbs, carries a 33 ft Insider hose and runs on a single 25 ft cord, so it only ever asks one circuit of a customer site.
