Tornado builds the Strike as a cordless commercial upright with two brushless motors, one turning the brushroll and one making suction, ordered as part TV190-W10-U.
Keeping the two separate means agitation does not fall away as the suction motor works against a loading filter, so the brush keeps combing pile at the same rate whether the bin is empty or nearly full. The machine cleans a 10 inch path, moves 70 CFM at 75 inches of water lift, holds 3.2 quarts, weighs about 18 pounds and runs at 64 dB behind sealed two-stage HEPA filtration. Auto floor detection adjusts between carpet and hard floor without an operator switch, and the flat body is built to pass under desks and beds that stop a taller upright.
Tornado rates run time at up to 67 minutes in eco mode on a 36 volt 7.5 Ah lithium pack. That pack and its charger are sold separately, which is worth reading twice before ordering, because the machine will not run out of the box on its own.
Battery packs age, and a machine that covered a route when new may want a mid-shift swap after a couple of years of daily use. Before blaming the pack, clear the brushroll of wrapped hair and thread, since added drag on the brush motor pulls run time down the same way a tired cell does and costs nothing to check.
