A 26 inch sweep is what the Tornado Tempest sells on, part TV400-W26-U, and the side brush is part of that figure rather than an extra: the main head covers 18 inches and the side brush carries the sweep out to 26 along a wall.
Tornado rates it at 19,000 sq. ft. per hour, which is the number that decides whether a wide area machine belongs on a route at all. Ballrooms, convention floors, cinema aisles and long corridors are where it pays. Rooms broken up by furniture are not, because a head this wide spends its time being steered around obstacles, which is why most crews that own one also keep a narrower upright for the spaces it cannot enter.
It collects into a 5 gallon bagless bin, weighs 88 pounds and runs at 56 dBA, quiet enough to work a lobby with people in it. An auto-clean cycle clears the pre-filter every five minutes so airflow does not taper across a long push, and the roller brush carries an indicator light for setting height to the carpet underfoot. Power is a 36 volt 7.5 Ah lithium pack, sold separately with its charger, the same pack Tornado uses on the Strike upright and the Zephyr backpack.
Brush and belt wear scale with the width of the head, since a 26 inch sweep lays down far more inches of contact per pass than a household upright covering the same room. Checking the brush on a shorter interval than you would on a narrow machine is reasonable for that reason alone.
