The Turbo Cat EX turbine-driven power nozzle (Model 8704) is an air-powered floor tool finished in sapphire blue. Its internal turbine is spun by the vacuum's airflow, driving the brush roll without any electrical connection to the machine.

A turbine nozzle agitates carpet fibers as it cleans, lifting ground-in dirt that straight suction leaves behind. When an older nozzle's brush wears down or the turbine slows, pickup on carpet fades, and a fresh EX nozzle brings that active agitation back.
