Part B123-3714 is the top half of the fan housing used on ULW ultra-lightweight uprights, moulded in black Xenoy. The fan housing surrounds the motor fan and forms the passage that suction air follows on its way through the machine, so its shape and its seal both matter to how much airflow reaches the bag.

Housings crack when hard debris gets past the agitator and strikes the fan, and a cracked housing bleeds air rather than pulling it. If the top half is damaged, inspect the fan and the lower half at the same time; the matching lower section is stocked separately as B123-3614 in the four-screw style.
