This universal mounting plate is the rough-in backing component for rectangular central vacuum inlet valves, designed to be installed during framing or retrofit so the finished inlet valve can be screwed cleanly to the wall. The molded white plastic plate accepts standard rectangular-style inlets and provides a rigid, square mounting surface that keeps the valve flush and properly aligned with the wall opening.

Manufactured by Plastiflex (reference SV8001) and compatible with rectangular inlet valves across most major central vacuum systems, it ships as a bulk case quantity for installers and service shops. The plate locates the tubing stub-out and gives the cover plate or trim a solid anchor point, preventing flex and gaps after the wall is closed.
