Measuring 12 inches long with a 3-inch diameter, the white canister-style silencer absorbs and dampens the rush of motor exhaust air, noticeably reducing the high-pitched whine many vacuum power units produce at the discharge port.
The straight-through 3" body installs inline on the exhaust side of the airflow, letting full suction pass while sound-deadening media inside breaks up the air turbulence that creates noise.
