VacuFlo built its 760, 860, and 960 power units around the same printed circuit board for start and stop control, reading the low-voltage signal from a wall inlet and switching the motor circuit in response. This is the replacement board for those three models.
A VacuFlo system that has gone completely dead, one that runs without stopping once plugged in, or one that answers only some of the wall inlets is more often a control board issue than a motor issue, and the board is the far less expensive part to replace. Component-level failures on a control board rarely announce themselves cleanly; a board can pass a quick visual check with no obvious burn marks and still be the cause of an intermittent start, which is why a board swap is often the faster diagnostic step once the motor and wiring have been ruled out.
Swapping it restores full response across every inlet in the house rather than just the ones near the power unit. Open the canister with the unit unplugged and compare the new board's footprint, mounting holes, and connector layout against the one coming out before installing, since VacuFlo has revised this board's design more than once across the life of the 760, 860, and 960 line.
Label each wire as it is disconnected from the old board so reassembly on the new one is a direct match rather than a guess, and give the replacement board a visual once-over for shipping damage before mounting it in the canister.
