Product details
This is VacuMaid's motor mount bracket, part P3512B, the bracket and strap assembly that holds the motor in place inside a central vacuum power unit.
VacuMaid pairs this one bracket with more than one motor. Its listing for the Lamb 119800, the 120 volt 5.7 inch two-stage motor used in the P70 and SR36 since July 2005 and in the SR12, calls for the P3512B bracket together with the P127B gasket, and notes that swapping an older 116429 motor for a 119800 needs both of those parts. Its listing for the 5.1 inch single-stage 119804, used in the SR10, SR36C, CV100, CV260, GV30, GV50 and RV110, calls for the same P3512B bracket with the P107B gasket instead.
A motor bracket wears at the strap and at the mounting points: the strap can stretch or lose tension over years of motor vibration, and the bracket can crack at a mounting ear if it is overtightened or the unit is jarred during a motor swap. A bracket that no longer holds the motor snugly lets it shift inside the housing, which shows up as rattling or knocking from the power unit that was not there before.
