This VacuMaid stainless steel central vacuum inlet valve (Part #WS-629X) combines a durable brushed stainless faceplate with a built-in microswitch for full-house, direct-connect operation. The moment you insert the hose into the 1-1/4" inlet, the microswitch closes and starts the central vacuum power unit, with no low-voltage pins to line up at the wall.
The stainless steel construction resists rust, scuffs, and fingerprints, making it a strong choice for kitchens, garages, and frequently used inlets. A spring-loaded door snaps shut over the opening when the hose is removed, keeping the inlet sealed so air leaks do not reduce suction elsewhere on the system.
