The VacuMaid SV-100 is a portable service vacuum, and the job it is published for is a narrow one: pulling a clog out of a central vacuum line. Fit a reducing coupler to the intake, run a 1-1/2 inch hose from the unit to the wall valve, and its sealed suction does work that a general purpose shop vacuum usually cannot.
The published figures behind that are 142 inches of sealed waterlift, 117 CFM of airflow and a maximum of 561 air watts from a flow-thru motor, with 3.5 gallons of dirt capacity. Air watts is measured at a working point rather than derived from the two extremes, so the sealed and airflow numbers are not meant to multiply out to it. Filtration is sealed paper and the replacement bag is the PB100.
