Part HS5000B-D is the black door for Hide-A-Hose HS5000 series inlet valves. Black is the one people choose for garages, shops and basement walls, where an inlet sits somewhere it is going to be knocked rather than admired.
Doors are the failure point of any inlet. The hinge snaps, the catch wears until the door swings loose, or the face cracks when something heavy goes past it. However it breaks, the result is the same: the inlet stops sealing, and an inlet that does not seal leaks air the whole system pays for.
