Product details
Part HS5000V-LSKIT replaces the locking sleeve that seals a Hide-A-Hose HS5000 series valve at the point where the hose end locks in and pulls back out. Keeping that connection airtight is the sleeve's only job, and it does it thousands of times over the life of a system.
Wear shows up right where the hose end rubs against the sleeve on every insertion, and once the rubber hardens or splits, the seal at the inlet stops holding even though nothing else on the system has changed. A hose that feels loose the moment it seats, paired with a drop in suction that only shows up at that one inlet, points straight back to this part.
Since the sleeve sits inside the valve body rather than on the visible trim, confirming the fault is here usually means testing suction at that inlet against a known-good inlet on the same system before ordering. If every inlet shows the same weak pull, the cause is more likely upstream in the piping or at the power unit rather than this one sleeve.
The kit arrives with the rubber sleeve, four screws and nuts, eight nylon washers, and an instruction sheet, and it is matched to the HS5000 series valve. Confirm your valve line before ordering, since the sleeve is not shared with the earlier Hide-A-Hose valve generations.
