Hide A Hose Valve Rough-In ...

Product details
Part HS3000R sets the framing and pipe connection for a Hide-A-Hose retractable valve before drywall goes up, and it serves both the HS3000 and HS4000 valve lines. It screws to the framing and holds the pipe and the eventual valve in position while the wall is closed in around it.
Because it goes in before the wall is finished, this stage is where mistakes get expensive. Pipe run, mounting depth, and stud spacing all need to match your installation plan now, since correcting a rough-in later means reopening a wall that was already closed up and painted.
Take the extra few minutes to dry-fit the piping and confirm the frame sits square and level before fastening anything permanently. A rough-in that is even slightly out of alignment can leave the eventual trim sitting crooked once the wall is finished, which is a much harder thing to correct after the fact.
Confirm you are installing an HS3000 or HS4000 valve before ordering. Hide-A-Hose sells separate rough-in kits for its HS5000 and 6000 PRO lines, and those are not interchangeable with this one. If you are unsure which valve you are planning around, check your project plans before setting the frame in place.
