Replacement variable speed control for Riccar Prima canister vacuums, part B338-3200. This is the control the operator moves to set motor speed, which is how suction is dialled back for curtains, rugs with fringe, or anything light enough to be pulled into the nozzle at full power.
When a canister runs only at one speed, or jumps between settings as the control is moved, the fault is usually in the control itself or in the board behind it. Two related parts are worth knowing about while diagnosing: the slide bushing B338-8100, which guides the control's travel, and the main PCB B338-3300 used on variable speed Prima and Wonder canisters.
