A small part with one job: the wand cuff clip from the Oreck Pro 12 commercial vacuum, part P.88.0003.0. It holds the cuff at the wand connection so the wand and hose stay locked together while the machine is in use.
Clips are usually the first thing to break in a hose-to-wand joint, because they take the twisting load every time the wand is turned. Once one has cracked, the wand starts working loose in the middle of a job, the joint whistles as air leaks past it, and eventually the wand pulls off entirely.
It is a tool-free repair, with the old clip coming off and the new one going straight on. Check the cuff itself and its seal while the joint is apart, because a clip that has been holding a worn cuff together will not cure a leak on its own. Confirm your machine is a Pro 12 before ordering.
