This is the wand-to-nozzle wire hose, revised length version, for Riccar M700, R20 and S30 upright vacuums, stocked as part B434-2414C. Unlike a plain airflow connector, this hose also carries the electrical lead down to the nozzle inside the same corrugated tube, so it is handling both jobs at once between the wand and the nozzle.
Handling two jobs in one flexible tube is exactly why this section tends to wear out before the rest of the airflow path does. It sits at the sharpest working bend on the machine, flexing with every tilt of the nozzle, and that repeated motion eventually work-hardens the internal conductor until it breaks, while the same flexing can split the corrugation itself. A nozzle that cuts power on and off, or a hissing air leak near where the wand meets this hose, both point to this part.
