Product details

This two-piece wand assembly, part 106053, is a Wessel-type wand sized for ProTeam's Sierra backpack unit. The upper and lower sections lock together into one rigid tube for floor work, then separate again when the job calls for a shorter reach, such as stairs, upholstery, or anything above the floor.

It fits the ProTeam Sierra backpack. On a backpack machine the wand is the whole suction path between the hose and the floor tool, so every joint along its length has to hold a tight seal or the tool at the end loses pull even though the motor on your back sounds fine.

Replace the wand once the coupling stops locking down solidly the way it did when new. A loose coupling lets the two sections creep apart mid-pass, forcing you to stop and reseat them. A tube that has been bent, cracked, or split pulls in air along a hidden gap instead of through the nozzle, so suction at the floor drops off gradually and then all at once. Either symptom points to the wand rather than the motor.

  • Part: 106053
  • Type: two-piece Wessel-type wand, splits for stair and above-floor work
  • Fits: ProTeam Sierra backpack vacuum
  • Check before the first job: hose cuff and floor tool both seat fully and hold without wobble at each end

Fit both ends before putting the vacuum back into rotation. Seat the wand into the hose cuff first, then seat the floor tool onto the far end, and confirm neither joint has any play. Suction on a backpack unit only reaches the nozzle if every joint along that wand holds a tight seal, so both ends deserve the same check.
