The geared brush roll for the Filter Queen AT1100 power nozzle, part 4291002000, measures 12-1/2 inches long and 1-1/4 inches in diameter and drives off the belt through a gear at one end. It is the roller used in the AT1100 head found on the Majestic 360, the 112C and the 75th Anniversary canisters.
Bristles are a wear item. They shorten and splay, and once the tufts no longer stand proud of the roller body the head stops agitating: carpet looks flattened rather than groomed after a pass, and fine grit stays down in the pile where the suction alone cannot reach it. A roll packed with years of hair also drags on the belt, which you hear as a change in pitch.
Clear the old hair from the bearing ends before the new roll goes in, or it will wear the same way.
