The flow indicator is the small window that lets you see solution moving through a Bissell ProHeat or Clearview PowerSteamer, and this is its cap, part 5556503. It holds the indicator in place and seals that point in the solution path, which is why a cracked or missing cap usually shows up as weeping around the tank area rather than as anything dramatic.
Caps go brittle with years of heat and detergent, and the tabs give way from taking the tank on and off. Once it will not seat, you lose the seal and the view at the same time.
It fits a broad run of ProHeat and PowerSteamer machines, among them the 1620, 1697, 1698, 1699 and 1699-1, 7901, 7920, 7950 and 8804. It is also listed as 555-6503 and 010-1651.
