This cuff, part B283-4700, is the molded fitting on the lower end of the fill hose used on the Carpet Pro CPU250 and CPU350, the Titan T3200, the Fuller Brush FBEZM, and the Riccar and Simplicity S20EZM.
A hose cuff takes more flexing and handling than the hose body it is attached to, so it is usually the first part of a hose assembly to fail. Once a cuff cracks or the hose pulls loose from it, air leaks in at that joint instead of being drawn through the hose the way it should be, and the vacuum loses suction at the tool end even though nothing else about the machine has changed. This usually shows up gradually, as pickup that keeps getting a little weaker rather than failing all at once.
