This is the 38 inch on-board attachment hose for the Carpet Pro CPU-250 and CPU-350 uprights, part C283-2800. The same hose is used on the Titan T3200, the CleanMax CMNR-QD, the Fuller Brush FBEZM, and the Riccar and Simplicity S20EZM.
This hose carries suction from the machine to hand tools rather than to the floor nozzle, so its condition only shows up when you reach for the crevice tool or upholstery brush. A hose that has kinked permanently, split at a cuff, or opened a hairline crack will still let the machine clean carpet normally while leaving stairs, furniture, and tight corners with almost no pickup at all, which is what makes the fault easy to miss until you actually reach for a hand tool.
