This hose carries dirt from the floor head back into the body of the machine. Part B283-1300 fits the Titan T3200 and both the Carpet Pro CPU250 and CPU350. It also fits the Fuller Brush FBEZM. This same hose is used on the Riccar and Simplicity S20EZM as well.
This is the hose that flexes every time the handle reclines, so it wears from repeated motion rather than from anything you did wrong. Cracks tend to open wherever the bend is tightest, and the cuffs at each end can work loose over time. Either failure lets dirt-laden air escape before it reaches the bag, so the machine keeps running at full volume while pickup at the floor drops off.

- Failure signs: a crack near the nozzle end, a loose cuff, or a hose that has flattened where it flexes
- Fix: replace the full hose rather than taping a split, since a taped hose keeps leaking under flex and a leak here costs pickup at the floor even with a fresh bag and clean filters
Reconnect the nozzle to the body with a sound hose, and pickup at the floor returns to normal without needing to touch anything else on the machine.
