One flat belt covers a good many machines here. Part 17394 fits the Panasonic UB3 and UB7 uprights, the MC6210 and MC6640, the Clean Max ZM800 and the Simplicity Freedom, all of which share the same brush roll drive.

Flat belts work by friction, which means they lose effectiveness well before they fail outright. The rubber glazes and stretches, the roller slips whenever the bristles meet carpet, and the vacuum starts leaving pet hair and lint on carpet it used to clear in a single pass. Long before it breaks, the machine is doing perhaps half the job you think it is.

Because the belt is inexpensive and reaches the end of its useful life somewhere around six months of regular use, most owners replace it on a schedule rather than waiting for the snap. Fit it with the bottom plate off, seating it squarely in the brush roll groove.
