The permanent HEPA filter for the Dirt Devil Vision dirt cup, part 2690299700. This is the angled-top pleated version, so it matches the slanted cup rather than the flat one. It is listed across the Vision range: 086900, 086905, 086910, 086915, 086920, 086921, 086925, 086927, 086930 and 086930CA, 086935, and the 089800SV, 089890 and 089900.
Being permanent, it is meant to be cleaned and put back rather than thrown away, and that is exactly why these get neglected. Dust works deep into the pleats where tapping no longer shifts it, airflow falls off, and the machine starts pushing a dusty smell into the room while picking up less than it should.
A filter that stays grey after cleaning, or one whose pleats have collapsed or pulled away from the frame, has done its time. The replacement drops straight into the dirt cup.
