Eureka Cord Bushing and Str...

Product details

Ten cord bushings and strain reliefs for the Eureka and Sanitaire 1400-series power cord, part number 530891, packaged as a set for a repair bench working through several machines rather than a single job.

The bushing sits where the cord passes through the housing, and its job is to absorb the pull on the cord so the strain lands on the housing itself rather than on the wiring terminals behind it. Once the bushing cracks or works loose, nothing stops the cord from shifting back and forth in that opening, the insulation wears against its edge, and the machine can lose power for a moment whenever the cord shifts near where it enters the housing.

  • Fits: Eureka and Sanitaire 2118B, 2122A, S635A, S645A.
  • Part: cord bushing and strain relief, part number 530891, 10 per pack.
  • Replace when: the cord chafes near the housing opening, or the machine loses power intermittently when the cord is moved.
  • Install tip: feed the new bushing over the cord before reconnecting any terminals, so you are not working around a live splice afterward.

Confirm your model matches the list above before ordering, since cord bushings are sized to the housing opening on each model.
